The Christian life is messy. Salvation does not remove us from the struggles of this world, and we continue to live with sin and suffering as the Holy Spirit conforms us into the image of Christ (Romans 8:28-29). However, God has not called us to live this life alone, but has given the local church with pastors and teachers to care for our souls (Hebrews 13:17).
