The Bridge started with a group of friends passionate about God, the gospel, and growing together throughout college. With the help of Lakeview Christian Center, we officially launched in 2013 and have loved every minute of it! More than just a student organization, The Bridge is a family and a place to call your “home away from home.” It’s a Christian college ministry where you can grow in their faith and become more like Christ everyday. It’s a place where you can safely explore who Jesus really is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him. College is a pivotal time in a person’s life. In many ways, your experience in college sets the trajectory for the rest of your life. Throughout your time in college, you will make important decisions, discover who you truly are, and ask big questions about purpose, meaning, reality, and significance. College is also a challenging time for many Christian students. While in college, you will face more temptations than ever before, your faith will be challenged more than ever before, and you will have more free time than ever before. Because of these factors, most Christians just barely survive or leave the faith altogether. The Bridge exists to help you thrive in college and become the kind of men and women God created them to be. Regardless of what you believe about Christianity, we are here to respect, care for, and extend grace to you in any way we can. No qualifications needed, we will meet you wherever you are. God has overwhelmed us with His love and forgiveness, and we simply want many others to be overwhelmed as well. In 2013 we truly saw God do “abundantly more than we could ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20-21), and in every year after God did it again. We couldn’t be more excited our future together, and we hope you’ll consider becoming a meaningful part of our community.
